MetaCert Protocol Score
Decentralized Trust and Reputation Protocol for the Internet. The largest anti-fraud and URL registry is heading to the blockchain. A protocol that allows anyone to help maintaining a registry of bad URIs – links and similar – and be rewarded in the process. The registry is then used in chat bots or can be queried by 3rd parties.
MetaCert proposes to crowdsource the discovery and marking of “bad” URIs, to protect the end user. People submit suspicious links, others verify them, the registry is updated accordingly. The registry is then usable in products such as chat bots, or can be accessed remotely by an ISP, for example. The token is used to reward people maintaining the registry and paid by those who want to access it, or simply who want to be proactive in registering their respective URI as “good”. MetaCert are trying to use blockchain to fix a problem with security online, but i feel that blockchain isn’t needed for this already. AI is much better suited for this task than relying on the community which could introduce human error. Also Chrome and FireFox have built-in engines for these things, which already work.
